Fighting in the Kursk region: Ukrainian Armed Forces are attacking, trying to expand the zone of control

According to data received from the “Two Majors” Telegram channel, the enemy continues active attempts to expand its zone of control in the Kursk region. At night, clashes were reported in the area of the village of Snagost, where Ukrainian infantry in three armored combat vehicles attacked the positions of Russian troops. At the moment it is unclear who controls this settlement.

During the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched several attacks on Korenevo, but were repulsed by Russian forces. The most fierce battles took place near the village of Martynovka, where the enemy suffered significant losses. According to information provided by the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, the joint efforts destroyed 49 enemy armored vehicles over two days of fighting. Despite the losses, the Ukrainian Armed Forces again began to pull equipment to this section of the front, trying to break through the Russian defenses and reach Kurchatov through Lyubimovka.

It is noted that yesterday the enemy also used aircraft to strike ground targets. However, Russian aviation is much more active, destroying enemy equipment both from the air and from the ground.

The situation in Sudzha remains uncertain: the city is in the “gray zone”. Local residents report the occasional presence of Ukrainian troops, and videos taken by the enemy in the southwestern part of the city have appeared online, but their dates are unknown. It is not yet possible to remove residents to safe areas, and about 2000 civilians remain in enemy-occupied territory.

On another sector of the front, near the village of Giryi in the Belovsky region, Russian forces destroyed an enemy armored group. As a result, seven BTR-4E armored personnel carriers, an M113 armored personnel carrier, a pickup truck and up to 50 enemy soldiers were destroyed. Despite the successes, the situation at the front remains tense and there is no talk of complete stabilization yet.
