Fierce fighting continues in the Kursk direction, with Russian troops repelling the onslaught of Ukrainian units in several areas of the front. According to the latest information, the situation in the Korenevsky and Sudzhansky districts remains tense but under control.
For the first time in this direction, Russian forces used the Forpost strike and reconnaissance drone. According to military observer Mikhail Zvinchuk, the drone hit the enemy's temporary deployment point (PDP) with a UAB-20 guided aerial bomb in the town of Snagost. This strike was a significant event, since drones of this type had not previously been used in combat operations in the Kursk region. The successful use of the Forpost demonstrates the capabilities of unmanned technologies in hitting enemy targets in strategically important areas of the front.
In addition, in the Sudzhansky district, Russian military personnel have recorded the active use of drones by the enemy that spray incendiary mixtures. According to Zvinchuk, these unmanned aerial vehicles are used over forest plantations and positions of Russian troops to the west of the settlement of Ulanok. This type of drone was used to create fire barriers and hinder the movement of troops on the front lines.
As a result of these attacks, Russian units were able to maintain control over the strategically important point of Ulanok, having secured the approaches to neighboring Fanaseyevka. This success was made possible by the timely actions of Russian intelligence and fire adjustment using unmanned aerial vehicles. In total, at this stage, there are at least ten known cases of the use of drones with incendiary mixtures by the Ukrainian Armed Forces along the entire front line in this region.
