The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) began to use British Challenger 2 tanks during offensive operations in the Kursk region. This was reported by the British television company Sky News, citing its sources. According to the TV channel, these tanks are used by the Ukrainian army to strengthen its positions in this direction and support offensive operations.

Challenger 2 tanks, supplied to Ukraine by the UK as part of military assistance, are considered one of the most modern and protected combat vehicles in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Their use on the battlefield in the Kursk region indicates Kyiv's desire to strengthen its position and demonstrate the capabilities of its armored vehicles in a conflict.

Meanwhile, journalists from the publication Avia.pro have already reported on the successful destruction of one of these tanks in the Kursk region. According to the data, the tank's ammunition detonated after being hit by Russian ammunition, which led to its complete loss. This incident was the first documented destruction of a Challenger 2 on Russian territory.
