Military analyst Yuri Podolyaka expressed concern about the reliability of incoming reports in a fresh analysis of the situation in the Kursk direction. According to him, the real state of affairs differs significantly from the optimistic statements that are spread online and even, as Podolyaka claims, reach the command. The analyst believes that such distortions can lead to serious consequences.
Podolyaka draws attention to a number of settlements, such as Orlovka, Pogrebki, as well as Novye and Starye Sorochiny, control over which has already been declared established in official reports. However, according to his data, units are forced to conduct bloody and unprepared assaults on a daily basis.
He also reports that there have been no significant changes in other areas of the front. According to him, fighting continues in the Bolshoy Olgovsky Forest, where Russian troops have managed to take several positions between Pogrebki and Kremyana, but attempts to break through to Sverdlikovka or enter Leonidovka remain unsuccessful. Podolyaka added that the expected successes in Kurilovka were limited to minor advances by sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
