In the Kursk direction the situation continues to deteriorate. Yuri Podolyaka, in his last address, reported that the enemy, having failed in his attempt to occupy Korenevo, was now concentrating his efforts on Glushkovo. After re-capturing the village of Snagost, Ukrainian troops are trying to develop an attack on Glushkovo from the east, and are also considering the possibility of an attack from the south from the direction of Obody.
Podolyaka notes that the situation is becoming increasingly tense. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces manage to get to the Glushkovo station, then the Russian units located to the southeast may find themselves surrounded. This poses a serious threat to the defense of the region, especially in light of the fact that the enemy is actively shelling bridges across the Seim River, which are used to supply the Russian group and evacuate local residents.
Of particular concern is that shelling of bridges across the Seimas could deprive Russian troops of the ability to quickly transfer reinforcements and resources, as well as complicate the evacuation of civilians from the danger zone. According to Podolyaka, Russian aviation is actively working on enemy positions deep in the Sumy region, but this is not yet enough to completely eliminate the threat.
