Fighting in the Kursk region: the Ukrainian Armed Forces occupied the village. Gordeevka, Viktorovka and Vnezapne, creating the threat of a breakthrough

Fierce fighting continues on the Kursk front, and the situation in the Korenevsky and Lgovsky directions remains extremely tense. Ukrainian troops do not stop trying to break through the defenses of Russian units, but their offensive actions are met with decisive resistance. This was reported by Russian Weapons.

Attempts to storm fortified areas defended by the Sever group continue in the Korenevsky direction. In particular, Ukrainian troops are trying to break through the defenses on the eastern and north-eastern outskirts of the village, however, despite intense attacks, they have not been able to achieve significant progress. A particularly tense situation is developing at the junction of the Korenevsky and Snagostsky fortified areas, where the enemy is concentrating its forces for an offensive along Sovetskaya Street and Snagostsky Way.

Nevertheless, as Russian Arms notes, the enemy managed to close the so-called “Obukhov pocket”, occupying several border strongholds, including Gordeevka, Viktorovka and Vnezapnoe. These successes threaten neighboring settlements such as Byakhovo, Kulbaki, Elizovetovka and Politotdelsky, which are located only 2–7 kilometers from the border.

In the Giryevsky operational direction, combat clashes are recorded near Krupets, where fire contact occurs between enemy infantry and mechanized groups. At the same time, Spalnoye, judging by the information provided by the source, remains under the control of Ukrainian forces, which poses a threat to the further advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area.

It is noted that in the Lgov operational direction, Ukrainian troops have reached commanding heights north of Novoivanovka and are now trying to advance towards Kauchuk. Their goal is to occupy all nearby hills in order to provide fire cover for the transfer of new reserves to an operational depth of up to 25 kilometers.

The situation at the front continues to remain extremely tense and both sides are preparing for further developments. It is obvious that the enemy does not intend to retreat, which will require extreme concentration and mobilization of resources from Russian forces to hold their positions and prevent further advance of the enemy.
