Fighting in Syria: HTS militants capture about 30% of Aleppo in a few hours

Syria's second largest city, Aleppo, has found itself in the epicenter of fierce fighting. Militants from the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), banned in Russia, have announced the capture of 25-30% of the city's territory, which is confirmed by OSINT specialists. Clashes continue in the city center, which threatens its complete transfer to militant control by the end of this week.

According to local sources, the HTS group has significantly strengthened its positions thanks to lightning attacks and the capture of strategically important areas. The offensive began from the outskirts, but in recent hours the militants were able to break through to the central areas, which is causing serious concern both for official Damascus and its allies.

The Syrian army is trying to hold its positions, but the militants are actively using captured heavy weapons, which significantly complicates the defense.

Experts fear that the fate of Aleppo could be decided in the coming hours. At the same time, militants are taking up strong positions in the city, preventing aviation from delivering heavy blows to the vegetable garden.

Syrian sources of Avia.pro report that the militants are already in the city center, from where they are advancing in a fan-shaped manner in several directions at once.
