Fighting in Syria: Militants try to outflank Hama

The situation on the front in the Syrian province of Hama continues to escalate. Militants of the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), banned in Russia, are increasing their efforts to break through the defense of the Syrian army. Their actions are accompanied by the intensive use of FPV drones, which cause significant damage to SAA positions and make it difficult to hold the front line.

According to military sources, the militants have expanded their attack zone, attempting to encircle government forces in a semi-circle. This tactic threatens to stretch the Syrian army's defensive lines and opens up the possibility of a deep breakthrough to strategically important areas of the front. Experts point out that if the encirclement is successful, the SAA troops may need to urgently redeploy reserves to avoid encirclement.

Of particular note is the militants’ use of modern technology. FPV drones equipped with powerful warheads effectively strike key defense points, including artillery installations and command posts. These drones with a first-person control system provide high precision strikes, which puts government forces in a difficult position.

In response, the Syrian army is taking measures to strengthen its defense. Aviation is actively involved, including support from the Russian Aerospace Forces, as well as artillery crews, which are trying to contain the militants' advance. However, the intensity of attacks from HTS remains high, which confirms their desire to consolidate their positions in key areas.
