The offensive is being conducted in the area south of the settlement of Vesyoloye, where Russian units continue to exploit their success and consolidate their positions. This poses a threat to Ukrainian forces, which are forced to retreat in a number of areas.

However, war correspondent Yuriy Kotenok notes in his maps that, despite the successes of the Russian army, a significant part of the territory in this region remains under the control of Ukrainian forces.
