More than 10 sorties a day: NATO has set a record for provocations near Russian borders in a week

The North Atlantic Alliance has set an all-time record for provocations near Russian borders.

The reconnaissance and combat aviation of the North Atlantic Alliance has set a new record for the number of provocative flights near Russian borders. As follows from the data presented, over the past week, 83 foreign reconnaissance aircraft and reconnaissance drones were seen near the Russian borders. Such data are cited by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, not taking into account the appearance of NATO combat aircraft near the Russian borders. This is an absolute record.

According to the Russian defense department, Russian military aircraft rose only once a week to identify foreign aircraft and prevent the latter from violating Russian borders. This indicates that dangerous incidents have been avoided. Nevertheless, such actions of NATO are completely unacceptable and the Russian side will certainly respond symmetrically, especially against the background of the preparation of exercises by NATO and Ukraine in the Black Sea.

According to experts, a significant increase in the number of provocative flights near the borders of Russia is due to the holding of military maneuvers "West-2021" during the outgoing week.
