Bulgaria and Greece offer Ukraine to export grain through their territory

During the meeting in Athens, the prime ministers of Greece and Bulgaria, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Mykola Denkov, discussed the issue of transit of Ukrainian grain products. This topic has become especially relevant against the backdrop of the suspension of Russia's participation in the Black Sea Initiative.

Initially, Ukraine tried to start exporting grain through its ports on the Danube, however, several blows to the port infrastructure completely discouraged foreign shipowners from even approaching Ukrainian borders.

At the moment, information has been confirmed that Bulgaria intends to transport Ukrainian grain directly to the port of Alexandroupolis, from where the latter can already be sent to other countries. Previously, the Greek media have already Reported that this option is the most likely, however, this may increase the cost of transportation.
