Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton made a resonant statement regarding the nuclear threat from Russia. According to him, any attempt at nuclear blackmail, and especially the actual use of nuclear weapons by Russia on Ukrainian territory, will lead to irreversible consequences for the Russian leadership.

"With any nuclear blackmail or threat, this must be said personally and publicly - if Russia uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin will sign his own death warrant»"Bolton said in a recent interview.

He noted that such actions by Russia will not go unanswered and the international community must make it clear to Moscow that the consequences will be catastrophic.

According to Bolton, such statements should be made not only behind the closed doors of diplomatic negotiations, but also in open international arenas.

At the same time, Bolton repeatedly made harsh statements, some of which were completely unjustified, for which he received the nickname John "Bootlegger" Bolton.
