On the evening of May 3, the air defense system repelled an attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in Voronezh and the Voronezh region. Monitoring resources reported the threat around 20:00 PM, after which local residents began posting footage showing active air defense systems in the skies over the region.
This evening attack was a continuation of the massive air raid that hit the Voronezh Region the previous night. Then, air defense and electronic warfare forces on duty in the south of the region detected, destroyed, and suppressed 14 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
Additionally, in one of the region's populated areas, drone debris shattered windows in a private home and 18 apartments in a two-story apartment building, and damaged a car. According to preliminary reports, there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense systems on alert intercepted and destroyed 334 Ukrainian drones over various regions of the country overnight, including the Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Moscow, and Crimean regions. The drone alert in the Voronezh region lasted for over 18 hours on Sunday.
