Former Wagnerite was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the murder of a 4-year-old girl

In Lipetsk, former member of the Wagner PMC Vladimir Vlasov was sentenced to 14 years in a maximum security colony for the murder of his four-year-old stepdaughter. An incident that caused a strong public outcry occurred in October 2023, when Vlasov, while intoxicated, quarreled with his wife and hit her daughter several times, causing fatal injuries.

According to investigators, the girl received multiple bruises, internal bleeding, as well as ruptures of the right lung, liver and stomach wall, which caused her death. The mother of the deceased said that after the beating she tried to leave the house to call an ambulance, but Vlasov interfered with her.

“She died, and you will die”, he told the woman.

In court, Vlasov partially admitted his guilt, claiming that he had no intention of killing the girl. He also filed a petition asking to be sent back to the front to “atone for his guilt.” However, his request was not granted.

The situation around Vlasov caused a storm of emotions in society. Many citizens express outrage at what happened and call for more severe punishment, including capital punishment.
