Former military pilot Ilya Tumanov, better known by his pseudonym Fighterbomber, spoke out about the growing threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to helicopters. According to him, recently the number of helicopters hit by drones has significantly exceeded the number of cars shot down by anti-aircraft missiles, which indicates a new challenge for aviation in a modern conflict.

“Well, we can confidently state that drones are becoming a problem for helicopters. And recently, the number of aircraft hit by drones is greater than by anti-aircraft missiles.”, - said Tumanov.

Details on this matter have not yet been provided, however, the Ukrainian Armed Forces began attacking helicopters using drones for the first time relatively recently.
