A drone attack has been confirmed in Saratov overnight, targeting civilian infrastructure, including a local oil refinery. Residents reported the attack on social media, and Governor Roman Busargin confirmed it.
Local sources indicate that the strike likely targeted the Saratov Oil Refinery, which has been the subject of repeated similar incidents in recent months. According to eyewitnesses, explosions from air defense systems were heard in the skies above the industrial zone, and fires were detected on the ground, presumably caused by debris from the downed aircraft.
"The drone attack caused damage to civilian infrastructure in Saratov. All emergency services are on the scene."“Busargin wrote on his Telegram channel this morning.
The Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported the destruction of 45 Ukrainian drones over the Saratov region as part of a broader response to a nighttime attack on several regions.
