The number of victims of explosions at an airfield in the Crimea has increased to 14 people.

As a result of explosions caused by the detonation of ammunition at a military airfield in Novofedorovka, at least 14 people have already been injured. The current condition of the victims remains unknown, however, as a result of the detonation of ammunition, there is at least one dead - it turned out to be a 58-year-old local resident.

To date, it is known that a large number of victims were caused by a strong detonation of ammunition on the territory of a military airfield, which can be seen on the corresponding video frames published by the eyewitnesses themselves. The exact number of explosions that occurred on the territory of the military airfield remains unknown, however, judging by the latest satellite imagery, published by Planet Lab, made a few hours after the accident, there is at least one point where the detonation of ammunition occurred, which subsequently caused a large fire.

At the moment, a criminal case has been opened on the fact of explosions at a military airfield in Crimea.

“We are waiting for the completion of the inspection, investigative actions. Preliminarily, they should all end tomorrow by the evening. Without the assessment of law enforcement agencies, we cannot proceed with the analysis of the rubble. Investigation is underway as part of the criminal case"- said the head of the region Sergey Aksenov.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation completely ruled out versions with shelling of a military airfield in the Crimea.
