An emergency occurred on board the Russian Tu-22M3 bomber that almost caused the crash.

The information and news agency Avia.pro has information that on September 14, 2021, as part of the large-scale exercises Zapad-2021, an emergency occurred on board the Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bomber, namely, the cabin was depressurized. As a result, the pilots had to urgently reduce the altitude from 7000 meters to 4250 meters and return to the Olenya airbase.

At the moment, information that the 77611 aircraft took part in one of the episodes of the West-2021 exercises has not been confirmed. If the Tu-22M3 bomber really performed tasks within the framework of military maneuvers, it is logical to argue that the task was not completed due to technical problems.

By the current hour, it is known that an emergency on board the long-range bomber Tu-22M3 was recorded at 16:29 pm, and already at 16:57 pm the plane landed at the Olenya airbase. As a result of the incident, there were no casualties, and the landing itself took place in a normal mode.

So far, there are no official comments from the Russian defense department on this matter.
