Stormtroopers of PMC "Wagner" recaptured the settlement of Nikolaevka from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After successfully taking control of the settlement of Sakko and Vanzetti, located in the area of ​​the Soledar-Seversk highway, units of the Russian PMC "Wagner" managed to take control of the settlement of Nikolaevka, located to the east of the settlement. Sacco and Vanzetti.

Despite the relatively small size of this settlement (according to 2001 data, the population of Nikolayevka was 43 people - ed. note), taking it under control can make it possible to create a front for a subsequent offensive in the direction of Seversk, which can already lead to serious losses UAF-controlled territory of Donetsk region.

Since the beginning of 2023, Wagner PMC units and the forces of the Russian army have already managed to successfully take control of more than ten settlements in the Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions. This indicates that the Ukrainian military has lost the ability to control the situation. At the same time, Russian troops have not yet actually launched a massive offensive. This indicates that over the next few weeks the situation in the Donbass may change dramatically.
