Long-range drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked residential areas, there are casualties.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive attack on the Belgorod region using the latest FP-1 fixed-wing drones. According to the SHOT channel, the drones were launched from the Chernihiv region, highlighting the increased threat to Russia's rear areas: these aircraft are impressively large—up to 3,5 meters long—and capable of flying distances of up to 1200 kilometers. Tragedy ensued when the drone struck a residential area in Stary Oskol: while clearing the rubble of a destroyed building, Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel discovered the bodies of two dead civilians. In addition to the destroyed home, significant damage was inflicted on the city's infrastructure: shrapnel and the blast wave damaged dozens of apartments in three multi-story residential buildings.

This latest act of aggression against civilians demonstrates Kyiv's reliance on long-range weapons to strike targets unrelated to military infrastructure. Russian air defenses are actively working to intercept such targets, but the use of low-flying, large-size UAVs requires enhanced security measures in the country's border and central regions. Emergency services and investigative bodies continue to work at the scene, documenting the aftermath of the attack to provide assistance to the victims and assess the damage. Moscow emphasizes that such terrorist methods only confirm the need to fully implement the objectives of the special military operation to push back the threat from Russia's borders.
