Denmark will give Ukraine anti-ship missiles "Harpoon" and launchers for them

Denmark has decided to transfer Harpoon anti-ship missiles and launchers to Ukraine.

The Danish authorities, as part of a meeting of NATO representatives at the German military airbase Ramstein, decided to transfer Harpoon anti-ship cruise missiles and mobile launchers to them to Ukraine. The number of weapons transferred was not disclosed, however, sources note that we are talking about 4 mobile launchers and 36 cruise anti-ship missiles with a range of up to 278 kilometers.

Earlier, an Avia.pro source reported that within the framework of the meeting held at the Ramstein airbase, the issues of transferring medium-range air defense systems, tactical missile weapons and anti-ship weapons to Ukraine were to be discussed. At the moment, it has only been possible to confirm the fact of the start of deliveries to Ukraine of Harpoon (Block 1D) anti-ship missile systems with a range of 278 kilometers. Given the deployment of these coastal missile systems on the Black Sea coast, this allows Ukraine to take control of a significant sector of maritime space in the western part of the Black Sea, in fact, almost reaching the naval base of the Russian Navy in Sevastopol.

Among other things, there are unconfirmed reports that the United States also plans to transfer to Ukraine about 40 AGM-84 Harpoon cruise anti-ship missiles with a shorter range (up to 120 kilometers).

It is noteworthy that, according to a number of data, NATO has deployed on the Ukrainian coast means that allow controlling the maritime space in the Black Sea at a distance of up to 200 kilometers.
