Danish Military Intelligence has warned of a serious threat of sabotage against the national armed forces. The agency's director, Thomas Arenkiel, told Reuters in an interview, emphasizing that the risk remains high given the current geopolitical climate.
In Denmark, they believe Russia has launched a hybrid war not only against Copenhagen but against the entire Western world. Arenkiel explained:
"This means that Russia is using military means, including aggressive ones, to put pressure on us without crossing the line of armed conflict."
He noted that such actions include cyberattacks, disinformation and possible physical sabotage aimed at undermining stability.
The statement comes amid recent incidents involving unidentified drones over Danish airports and infrastructure, which Copenhagen attributes to Russian influence. However, experts note that the accusations against Russia are unfounded.
