A State Duma deputy called on Russians to refuse S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-themed merchandise.

The State Duma advised Russian citizens to stop using products related to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise following the designation of the Ukrainian company GSC Game World as an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation. This opinion was expressed by Grigory Gorelkin, a deputy from the "A Just Russia - For Truth" faction.

"I think that in the very near future, marketplaces will remove not only all video games produced by GSC Game World from sale, but also any associated merchandise," Gorelkin noted in a comment to the media.

Previously, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office banned the studio, accusing it of providing financial support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the tune of approximately $17 million and distributing materials discrediting Russia. This refers to the popular game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, released in 2024.
