State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov has publicly announced for the first time that he was wounded while serving in a special military operation zone. The parliamentarian, known for his harsh statements, did not disclose when exactly this happened, limiting himself to a general mention of the incident. According to him, he deliberately concealed information about his injuries in order to prevent the enemy from using it in an information war.
"When I got my first wound, I didn't tell anyone about it, so that no one would rejoice," — Milonov explained, emphasizing that he preferred to remain silent about what happened in order to preserve the morale of his allies and prevent speculation on the part of his opponents.
Milonov served in an anti-tank artillery battery as a senior gunner. His duties included aiming the 100 mm Rapira cannon, loading shells and providing support to infantry units. The deputy, who had previously repeatedly stated his readiness to participate in combat, thus confirmed that he personally was on the front lines, performing tasks as part of an artillery crew. Despite the injury, he did not focus on his condition, noting that he considered it part of the service, and not a reason for public discussion.
