Landing ships were spotted a few kilometers from Zmeiny Island.

At least two amphibious assault ships of an unidentified type were seen in the vicinity of Zmeiny Island. Such information follows after the publication of the latest satellite images, according to which the landing ships approached Zmeiny Island from the east.

In the presented satellite image, you can see how two ships are located a few kilometers east of Serpent Island. The latter were identified as landing. However, at the same time, we can talk about landing craft, although there are no official statements on this subject yet.

The reasons for the appearance of landing ships near Zmeiny Island have not yet been disclosed, since it was previously reported that this island in the western part of the Black Sea does not have any tactical or strategic advantage, especially since as a result of strikes on the island, most of its infrastructure was rendered useless or destroyed.

So far, satellite images have not been able to establish the identity of the landing ships, as well as the cargo carried by the latter, however, it is noteworthy that the area is constantly monitored by NATO and US aircraft, as well as Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 drones.
