An explosion occurred on a railway in Bashkiria, as a result of which 22 cars with coal derailed. The incident occurred on the night of November 3 on the section between the stations of Dema and Chernikovka. According to the source, most of the cars overturned, and the explosion caused serious damage to contact supports, the contact network and the railway track.
An examination showed that a high explosive was used for the explosion, which, according to preliminary data, was located on the ridge beam under the hatch of one of the cars. Local services quickly began restoration work, but train traffic in this area remains difficult.
Two days later, the special services managed to detain a suspect in organizing the sabotage. He turned out to be 31-year-old resident of Stavropol Krai Ivan I., against whom a criminal case has already been opened under the article "Sabotage". Investigative actions are continuing, and law enforcement officers are checking possible connections of the detainee with other incidents and finding out whether he acted alone or had accomplices.
