Dmitry Peskov: To prevent such attacks on St. Petersburg, a special military operation is underway.

Moscow, June 3 — Avia.proThe special military operation will continue precisely to completely eliminate the possibility of air attacks similar to the night raid on St. Petersburg. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, during a meeting with journalists.

Responding to media questions about Moscow's planned response to the actions of Ukrainian forces on the eve of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Kremlin spokesman emphasized the overall goals of the operation. He stated that the systematic implementation of all assigned tasks by the Special Military Operations Forces is key to ensuring the long-term security of Russia's regions. Peskov also noted that providing specific operational data on the aftermath of the air strike and the performance of air defense systems is the exclusive responsibility of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the leadership of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

On the night of June 3, Russian air defense units intercepted 354 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the country, 59 of which were destroyed in the northwestern region. The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that the Kyiv regime's terrorist activity against civilian and industrial infrastructure only confirms the inevitability of continuing military operations until all stated objectives are fully achieved.
