Su-57

Until the end of the year, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive only 2 Su-57 fighters instead of 5 expected

In 2021, the Russian Aerospace Forces will be able to receive only two Su-57 fighters.

Despite the fact that at the beginning of the year it was reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces would be replenished with five more fifth-generation Su-57 fighters, it became known that in reality, this year the Russian Aerospace Forces should count on only two combat aircraft ... The latter are still in the process of their creation, as reported by a source in the country's military-industrial complex.

“By the end of 2021, the second and third production aircraft of the fifth generation Su-57 will be handed over to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Like the first <...>, the machines will go for testing at the State Flight Test Center (GLITs) in Akhtubinsk "- said a source in the military-industrial complex in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the news agency Avia.pro reported that some problems arose with the production of Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters - their nature was not named, however, apparently, at the moment, those two Su-57 fighters that will be transferred into service with the Russian Aerospace Forces until the end of this year, are still under construction, which indirectly confirms the previously announced data, although no official statements have been made on this score.
