Sevastopol, June 6 — Avia.pro. Air defense units and mobile fire teams repelled another coordinated attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Sevastopol. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev officially announced that during the defensive battle, anti-aircraft crews successfully destroyed eight attack drones. The aerial targets were destroyed in the skies over the Leninsky and Nakhimovsky districts, the Northern Side, and the waters of Omega Bay.
Two local residents sustained minor injuries as a result of falling fragments from the downed vehicles. One man was struck by shrapnel while standing on the street at the time of the attack, while the other was injured inside his private home on the property of a gardening non-profit partnership. Both victims promptly received qualified medical attention. Damage was also reported in residential buildings in the Leninsky District, where windows were shattered in two apartment buildings, and the walls and balcony of one apartment were damaged.
The most critical incident occurred near Pobedy Avenue, where one of the downed drones crashed into the side of a five-story residential building. According to the city rescue service, the drone's explosive payload failed to detonate. Emergency services quickly evacuated all residents of the building to a safe distance, after which Russian Emergencies Ministry pyrotechnic teams began removing and disarming the dangerous object.
