Two powerful explosions rocked the Indian capital near the historic Red Fort, killing at least nine people and injuring dozens. The incident occurred in a slow-moving car stopped at a traffic light.

"It was an explosion in a slow-moving car that was stopped at a red light. The car exploded, and two adjacent cars caught fire. Some people were killed and some were injured in the incident. The situation is under control."" Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said.

Delhi police are currently refraining from making any definitive statements. According to India Today, a terrorist attack related to the car bombings has not been ruled out. Investigative teams are working at the scene, and the cause of the incident is being determined.
