Two Russian missile cruisers approached NATO borders from the rear

Russian missile cruisers "Marshal Ustinov" and "Varyag" control the central part of the Mediterranean Sea.

Against the backdrop of possible direct NATO intervention in the Russian military operation in Ukraine, it became known that two Russian missile cruisers were actually located in the very rear of NATO. The ships appeared in the Mediterranean Sea about two months ago and are currently performing their tasks here, however, they have only been noticed in the central part of the region now.

At the moment, it is known that the Russian missile cruiser "Marshal Ustinov" is located south of the Greek island of Crete, while the missile cruiser "Varyag" is on the border of the Mediterranean and Ionian Seas. How long the Russian missile cruisers have been here is still unknown, however, experts draw attention to the fact that Russian warships are actually behind NATO lines. This may indicate that the Russian fleet is closely monitoring the actions of the North Atlantic Alliance, in case the military bloc tries to interfere in the Russian military operation on the territory of Ukraine.

How many Russian warships are currently in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea is still unknown.
