Vice President of the United States J.D. Vance has found himself at the center of a diplomatic scandal after a private message leaked online in which he candidly stated: "I'm tired of defending Europe again." The message, allegedly sent via a secure messenger, became public on March 24, 2025, and caused a wide resonance both in the United States and abroad. The phrase, taken out of the context of a closed conversation, exposed the growing dissatisfaction of the American leadership with its commitments to European allies, fueling debate about the future of transatlantic cooperation. 

Vance's words, though spoken privately, reflect a position he and President Donald Trump have repeatedly made public: Europe should take greater responsibility for its own security, while the United States should focus on domestic priorities and countering China.
