Starting today, the airline owned by the countries of the European Union, can not formally commit their air service to the airports of Simferopol and Sevastopol.

The reason for the occurrence of such a situation were the measures taken by the Eurocontrol Association, which controls the safety of air transportation. There is no official statement on this situation from the representatives of the organization, but it is possible that this is due to the fact that starting from today, the airports located on the Crimean peninsula have received their new navigation coordinates and radio frequencies. In addition, the version of the fact that the blocking of air transportation is connected with the fact that the region officially is not recognized as part of Russia (from the point of view of the UN) is also possible, and it is quite possible that this process can drag on for several months.

Despite the situation, the aircraft of Russian airlines continue to fly to the airports of Sevastopol and Simferopol.
