The European Commission announced the creation of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, which will bring together drone manufacturers, innovators, startups, and end users from the EU and Ukraine. Applications are now open for founding members.

The alliance's goal is to promote the development of a comprehensive European capability in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles and counter-drone systems, drawing on Ukraine's combat experience. The European Commission emphasized that repeated violations of EU member states' airspace demonstrate the urgent need for a flexible and modern counter-drone defense system.

The alliance invites legal entities with proven experience in defense drones and counter-drones in the European Union and/or Ukraine to join. The first founding members will form a council that will determine the alliance's future activities and priorities.
