Finland will join the PURL program for US arms procurement for Ukraine.

Finland will join NATO's PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) initiative, through which alliance countries acquire American weapons for delivery to Kyiv, announced Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen. He made the announcement upon arriving at a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels, Yle reports.

PURL is a joint US-NATO project aimed at accelerating arms deliveries to Ukraine. Participants are compiling a list of Kyiv's priority needs and purchasing equipment worth approximately $500 million per package. Häkkänen noted that Finland views this as a "critically important step," particularly for providing Kyiv with long-range missiles.

Häkkänen also announced that Finnish authorities will present a new military aid package to Kyiv this week. The details of the package have not yet been disclosed, but the country has previously allocated over €3 billion in support of Ukraine, including artillery munitions and air defense systems.
