France and Great Britain are ready to send 25 thousand troops to Ukraine

Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko made a statement that France and Great Britain allegedly formed a contingent of about 25 thousand servicemen, which could be sent to Ukraine. According to him, these military personnel could act in support of Ukraine in the event of further escalation of the conflict.

The statement caused a wide resonance, since direct participation of Western countries in military actions on the territory of Ukraine had previously been ruled out by NATO officials. Until now, military assistance to Kyiv was provided exclusively in the form of deliveries of weapons, ammunition and training of Ukrainian military personnel outside the country.

Goncharenko claims that this is about a possible "peacekeeping mission" that is allegedly being discussed at a high level between the leadership of Great Britain, France and Ukraine. However, there is no official confirmation of this statement yet. Representatives of France and Great Britain refrained from commenting on this matter.

Experts believe that statements about the preparation of a military contingent may be part of an information campaign. Nevertheless, discussions about the possible introduction of a foreign contingent raise serious concerns about further escalation of the conflict.
