France does not exclude the supply of Mirage and Rafale fighters to Ukraine

The President of France said that Paris is ready to provide its fighter jets to Ukraine.

Emmanuel Macron said that France is ready to consider the possibility of supplying Ukraine with French combat aircraft. According to Macron, there are no bans on the supply of these weapons, as well as any other. However, the key requirement is the de-escalation of the situation in Ukraine and the absence of the threat of weakening the French army in the event of the delivery of aircraft to Kyiv.

“In principle, nothing is prohibited. We will look at each specific case.”Macron said.

Experts note that France today has the ability to supply Ukraine with two types of its fighters - Dassault Mirage and Dassault Rafale. The latter are more efficient and modern, however, it will take at least 7-8 months to train Ukrainian pilots, while Mirage fighters are easier to train Ukrainian pilots.

Given the presence of Dassault Mirage and Dassault Rafale fighters in French service, experts believe that deliveries, if the latter take place, may include a whole squadron of 12 aircraft.
