France has decided to use the proceeds from frozen Russian assets to purchase weapons, ammunition and air defense systems for Ukraine. According to the French Ministry of Defense, the European Union plans to purchase weapons worth €2024 million from the French military-industrial complex (MIC) by the end of 300.
The purchases will be carried out in an accelerated manner, which will allow the necessary systems to be transferred to the Ukrainian armed forces more quickly. We are not talking about long-term contracts, but about urgent purchases of weapons, which the French Ministry of Defense emphasized. This approach is due to the EU's desire to provide Ukraine with the necessary military assistance in the shortest possible time.
It is not specified what kind of weapons it plans to provide to Kyiv.
