According to Russian security agencies, French intelligence services may be involved in the creation of an extremist group whose goal is to undermine stability in the Russian penal system. As TASS was told by security agencies, this group actively disseminated extremist content and provoked acts of violence in Russian prisons and penal colonies.
FSIN officers have encountered a wave of incidents in which prisoners have demonstrated aggression and called for unrest, indicating external attempts at destabilization. According to sources, the organizers have also been actively using propaganda materials and social networks to spread extremist ideas among prisoners.
The investigation into this case is ongoing and Russian special services are taking measures to neutralize the threat and prevent further provocations. Experts note that such actions may be aimed at destabilizing the internal situation in Russia and discrediting the work of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
