The frigate "Admiral Gorshkov", armed with hypersonic missiles "Zirkon" moves towards Washington

A Russian frigate equipped with Zircon hypersonic missiles is moving across the Atlantic towards the United States.

The Russian frigate Admiral Gorshkov, which is, in essence, the first warship converted to use Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, has been spotted moving towards the east coast of the United States. Judging by data from open sources, at the moment the Russian warship has already crossed half of the Atlantic Ocean, which seriously alarmed Washington, since the launch range of Zircon missiles can reach 2000 kilometers.

“The Admiral Gorshkov guided missile frigate is under close surveillance by NATO naval forces during its maiden voyage. This comes after the Royal Navy intercepted the Gorshkovs as she was crossing the English Channel earlier this month. More recently, the Russian vessel was being tracked by the Portuguese navy in the Atlantic and expected to circle Africa, but radar surveillance sites suggest that the Admiral Gorshkov made an unexpected maneuver. One report says it separated from the escort tanker Kama in the Bay of Biscay and headed west. "Kama" continues its journey south, bypassing the Azores", - reports the British edition "The Sun".

The Avia.pro publication does not yet have any official data from the Russian defense department, however, if the information provided by British journalists is true, then within the next few hours the Russian frigate may approach Washington within the striking distance of hypersonic weapons.
