The Federal Security Service (FSB) detained a 27-year-old resident of Volokolamsk, recruited by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. He was planning to plant explosives in the capital's Izmailovsky Park.

He retrieved a package containing a homemade explosive device with a capacity of 1,5 kg of TNT equivalent from a hiding place in Lyubertsy.

A criminal case has been opened under articles of intent to commit a terrorist attack and treason. The perpetrator has been arrested, and a search for accomplices is underway.
