Russia's FSB prevented terrorist attacks on Jewish religious sites.

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) prevented terrorist attacks on Jewish religious sites in the Krasnoyarsk and Stavropol Krais. The FSB announced this in an official statement.

According to the department, two migrants were detained in Krasnoyarsk for plotting to detonate a homemade device on the grounds of a synagogue. In Pyatigorsk, the administrative center of Stavropol Krai, a local resident was arrested for plotting to set fire to a Jewish religious community building.

According to the security services, all those detained were acting on orders from supporters of an international terrorist organization banned in Russia.

The incidents are being investigated as part of criminal cases involving the preparation of terrorist attacks, with the seizure of components of explosive devices and arson materials.
