FSB reports preventing 14 terrorist attacks in Crimea

The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) announced the successful prevention of a series of sabotage and terrorist acts on the territory of Crimea in 2023. It is reported that the acts were prepared by Ukrainian special services under the control of Western curators. As part of the FSB operation, an extensive network of agents involved in preparing terrorist attacks and sabotage against government officials, military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces and the FSB, as well as infrastructure facilities, including energy and transport hubs, was neutralized.

A total of 14 terrorist attacks were prevented. Among the targets of the saboteurs were railway lines, gas distribution equipment, electrical substations and vehicles. During the operation, 15 caches with 37 improvised explosive devices and over 200 kilograms of explosives were found.

As a result of the measures taken, 18 agents and accomplices of the Ukrainian special services were detained, involved in sabotage on railway tracks, explosions of gas pipelines and vehicles. According to the FSB, 10 people have already been convicted of preparing acts of sabotage and terrorism.
