In the cities of Kingisepp (Leningrad Region), Chita, and Tomsk, Russian FSB officers detained citizens suspected of justifying attacks by Ukrainian drones and disseminating calls for acts of sabotage. This was reported by the agency's Public Relations Center.
According to sources, the detainees posted comments and materials on messaging apps and social media containing public justification for terrorist drone attacks on targets in Russia, and also called for acts of sabotage. Criminal cases have been opened against the defendants under Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code (public calls for terrorist activity and public justification of terrorism). The maximum penalty under this article is up to seven years in prison.
The day before, the agency reported the detention of five Russians in the Kursk region, suspected of collecting and transmitting information about military and civilian facilities to the Ukrainian side.
