As a result of the militants' attack on a Russian military convoy in Syria, Russian General Gladkikh was killed, and two more servicemen were seriously injured - they are currently hospitalized in critical condition. According to the source Avia.pro, the armored car on which the Russian general was traveling was blown up by an IED.

At the moment, the Avia.pro resource has information that the Russian military was carrying out the task of providing humanitarian assistance in the province of Deir ez-Zor, however, under unforeseen circumstances, as a result of the explosion of an IED, General Gladkikh's vehicle was destroyed. Experts are already claiming that the attack on the Major General could have been carefully planned.

“A bomb explosion on the way of a Russian convoy occurred when it was returning from a humanitarian action 15 km from Syrian Deir ez-Zor. Three Russian soldiers were injured. One of them died from his severe wounds - it was a Russian senior military adviser with the rank of major general. At the moment, it remains unknown who exactly could be behind the attack on the Russian military, however, experts believe that we are talking either about terrorists of the "Islamic State" (a terrorist group banned in the Russian Federation - ed.), Or about Turkish jihadists.
