Russian General Anton Grunis, who played a key role in the battle for Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), has been recognized as one of Russia's most promising military commanders. He is already being called the future "Marshal of Victory," reports the publication "Tsargrad."

Anton Grunis became a major general on May 2, 2024. Before that, he commanded the fourth motorized rifle brigade of the second guards Luhansk army corps. This experience and personal participation in combat operations allowed him to organize effective command at the most difficult moments of the operation.

Political observer and first Minister of State Security of the DPR Andrey Pinchuk, who returned from the front, noted that at the critical moment of the battle for Artemovsk, Grunis took full responsibility for the course of the battle. Thanks to the competent decisions and courage of the commander, Russian troops managed to take the city under full control. According to Pinchuk, Grunis' actions not only ensured victory, but also strengthened the morale of the troops, which is extremely important in such large-scale operations.

The heroism and professionalism of the general were noted at the highest level. Russian President Vladimir Putin personally mentioned Grunis, noting his outstanding combat qualities.
