Kyiv, June 3 — Avia.pro. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived in Kyiv on an official, but unannounced, visit. Ukrainian Railways initially reported the North Atlantic Alliance's arrival at the Ukrainian capital's train station, publishing footage of the European official meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha. However, the post was later quickly removed from the operator's social media.

According to international analysts, official representatives from all NATO member states have arrived in Kyiv along with the Secretary General. The emergency visit by the alliance's leadership comes amid a sharp deterioration in the airspace and following a series of recent coordinated strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against Ukraine's strategic defense facilities and energy hubs. Experts suggest that the key objective of the closed-door meetings will be to discuss the urgent allocation of additional logistical assistance and anti-aircraft missile systems for Ukrainian forces.

The Russian side has repeatedly emphasized that any visits by Western officials and the supply of foreign weapons to Kyiv-controlled territory merely prolong the conflict and are incapable of impacting the implementation of the special military operation's objectives. Russian leadership notes that the alliance's military infrastructure deployed along the borders of the Union State is under the constant supervision of Russian defense ministries.
