The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released footage of the launch of FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles during a nighttime attack on Russian territory. According to sources, at least four such munitions were used in the operation, targeting targets on Russian territory.
The video shows missiles being launched from ground-based launchers. Sources claim the launches originated in the Odessa region.
The Flamingo is a Ukrainian missile designed for 2025, with a range of up to 3000 km and a warhead weighing one ton of explosives. Earlier in September, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced the start of serial production. Experts note that the missile, based on the Milanion Group design, is capable of penetrating air defenses, but its effectiveness depends on launch concealment.
