During an attack on targets in the Odessa seaport, Russian Geran-2 kamikaze drones, controlled in real time, destroyed at least three Ukrainian ships. According to sources, the Gyurza- and Island-class boats in service with the Ukrainian Navy were hit.

Eyewitnesses report that at the time of the attack, Ukrainian sailors were attempting to hide from the drones behind a civilian vessel. According to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, the civilian vessel was damaged in the incident, but no civilian sailors were injured.

The destruction of the Island-class patrol boat and the Project 58150 Gyurza small artillery armored boat was also reported by the publication "Military Review." The American patrol boat Island has already been damaged, and the Gyurza artillery boat has been destroyed. Information on Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel losses is being clarified.

Russian kamikaze drones have previously struck military targets in the Odesa region. Specifically, dry cargo ships transporting military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Europe were attacked in the Izmail harbor.
