Germany has again refused to supply TAURUS missiles to Ukraine.

Berlin maintains its ban on the supply of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine, federal government sources confirmed to Handelsblatt. Chancellor Olaf Scholz's official position remains unchanged: the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not receive such weapons.

Instead, Germany will increase direct financial assistance to Kyiv.

"The compensation will be quite unique: instead of the Taurus, Ukrainians will receive an increase in financial assistance to 3 billion euros as early as next year." — writes Handelsblatt, citing informed officials.

The additional funds will be included in the 2026 budget and will be used to purchase ammunition and equipment from third countries. The decision was made amid pressure from NATO allies and criticism from the opposition within Germany.
